Joshua Tree always blows me away! The vast desert landscapes filled with stacked rocks and the cutest Joshua Trees really makes for a unique location. This particular trip to Joshua Tree, Darren & I had a 4-wheel drive car for the first time! So we took advantage of it, and explored unfamiliar territory! Playing with Shape and Color
Darren has been working on a new light painting tool and we decided to test it out over the weekend on a very cold night! Some of the light you see in these images is also coming from our wood stove which was burning all night long, while we drank wine, listened to music and created some fun imagery focused on shape and color.
A Pop of Red
One of my favorite styling tricks is adding a pop of color to an all black, white and grey outfit - and my go-to color is usually ruby red. I just love the flirty vibes red brings to any simple look. Here is an all-red-everything look that I had a really fun time putting together to inspire you to add a little red to your wardrobe this spring! I am seriously swooning over big ruffles and thin cat eye sunglasses, and have been since last summer. I lived in Los Angeles for 5 years and never got that iconic palm tree lined street pic - until now! We began our hunt to find one to photograph for this shoot, and came across the perfect tree lined street leading right up to the Hollywood sign - providing that *extra* epic backdrop. You can find this iconic palm tree lined street in LA with the Hollywood Sign in the background on South Windsor Blvd between 4th and 5th Streets. LA truly is a beautiful place.
Give Me Space
Crater Lake
Crater Lake was on my to-do list for quite sometime, until the solar eclipse came along and brought Darren and I to Oregon! We made way to Crater Lake immediately following the eclipse, which just so happened to also be during a massive forest fire in Oregon. The fire added a ton of smoke to the scenery, making it an unusual adventure but also very hard to breathe! However, we didn't let the smoke stop our adventure and we created imagery with the moody, smokey vibes. I chose to wear this blue dress to contrast those deep red tones of the rocks in the first few images and also to compliment the ever-so-blue Crater Lake. I hope you enjoy what we created on this smokey adventure!

When you stumble upon a field of wild sunflowers in full bloom, you pull over and create some magic! Especially when wearing that stunning dress by Hemant and Nandita and those shoes by Matisse. Every single time we do this scenic drive, there are new wildflowers in bloom and they make it an entirely new experience! So now I know to expect wild sunflowers in August. Stand tall, sunflowers.

A Dash of Pink | Fame and Partners
A dash of pale pink, whilst surrounded by greenery creates some hue magic, huh? I love the movement in that Gilda Dress by Fame and Partners! I also love the way it pairs with those sandals by Pour La Victoire - a match made in heaven. ~*Sky high*~ wearing the most ruffletastic outfit by Petersyn on an adventure with mi amor! We cruise this route a couple of times per week, not only because it is a few minutes from our home but we find it to be so meditative. A moment where we can unplug and take in those layers of mountains resting in front of the sunset. I love the light there, as well - and it really highlighted the amazing details in this look by Petersyn. Enjoy!

Falling For You
It's been a while since I've posted here -- but I'm happy to be back, sharing a shoot brought to you by Pitusa! I guess you can say I have been busy getting to know our new neighborhood ~ and I am beginning to fall in L O V E with our surroundings.
Even though I haven't been as active here on the blog, I have been creating more than ever. Inspiration is everywhere you look here on Pine Mountain - and Darren and I are always feeling that urge to get out, explore, and document our dreams by turning them into reality! As we explore we discover new places, and one of those places is the location here in this shoot.
A short 10-minute drive from our house takes you here, overlooking layers of mountains being backlit by the setting sun, and oh my is it dreamy! We can't stop going back ::)
I think I have found my new happy place - where I will go to wash all of those worries away and let my mind wander into those endless layers of mountains! Or just to enjoy a nice beer with my love! Ok, now enjoy the rest of the photos!

Bougainvillea Heaven
This is an important shoot for me - not only because I just love my outfit from Echo and Air, but because this is the last shoot we did at our LA home before we moved into our new cabin in the mountains. The bougainvillea in our front yard was in full bloom as we were packing up our things, as if our house was giving us a farewell! Leaving our LA home in it's dreamy spring state wasn't easy, but I'm happy I'll have these photos to cherish the memories forever. Farewell, LA! I'm still close by ::)
